inherited maps

Just wondering if it is at all possible to use the same .map files for different .mud characters with zmud 6.16

The reason id want to use the same .map files is because it saves me updating more then one map everytime something new area is added to the game or everytime i make adjustments to the map.

Thanks :)

Yes, you can. Use File|Open... the mapper to open a different map.

Well yeah, but this only uses the .zzz master map. I still have to have one copy of the zones per character.

so lets say i have two different Characters, my directories would look something like this:

Zmud
. - Char1
. main.zzz
. - Maps
. zone1.map
. zone2.map
. - Char2
. - Maps
. zone1.map
. zone2.map

So as you can see, i have to have copies of the zones for each character. If i dont then the zones are empty.

Upgrade to the newer version where all of the map is contained in a single file. The new version is also alot better in many other ways.
